FYI: Net Manners

You know it is amazing to me how some people strive to market
their product and services on the net. I currently have 5 sites
of my own including one that is growing in leaps and bounds in
terms of income, hits and email. No it is not PROMOTE! or the
promotefree.com web site either, though they are growing as
well, they are done from a labor of love.

Anyway, back to my point, tonight as I was putting the last
edits on this issue, I received an email from a person with
a new net marketing newsletter they wanted help promoting and
increasing their subscribership. They were referred to me from
a close net friend across the world from me.

I hit reply and wrote back explaining about PROMOTE! and
promotefree.com and offered to help anyway I could.

After sending the email, a few minutes later I received email
back. However, it was from an autoresponder promoting their
newsletter and offers. I'm sorry folks, (and this may make
some of you mad...sorry..) but don't think I'll be as quick to
help this person. After asking me for help, and my response be
met with an autoresponder, sorry but for me that is just bad
email manners. Now I use a autoresponder for the PROMOTE!
submissions and that is to let those know that their listing
was received. But personal email sent to me, I try to answer
each and every piece. On some days I get as many as 150 emails
to answer too, so I may sometimes miss one, but it is not
intentional or there may be a week lag on some with my reply
with which I reply with an apology up front.

I feel that if someone takes the time to try to help
you, their response should not be met with an autoresponder
promoting your offers. Are we so caught up in the net
marketing automation factor that we forget we are dealing with
people on the other end? I feel that helping others also helps
ourselves, if nothing else to feel good that we were able to
help.

Am I crazy and on a ranting....grin...

I think what we need to do is communicate openly with our
children!

We need to talk about these tragedies and how it hurts everyone
and allow them to express their view and feelings too.  It
really isn't going to matter what we broadcast on TV or the
internet if the communication is not going on at home.  We as
parents are the primary educators in our children's lives, we
need to take this responsibility seriously.

Hello,
I want to offer my deepest sympathy to all the people in
Littleton, Co. To the family, loved ones and friends, I send
you my sincere condolences.  Words seem inadequate to express the
sorrow I feel for all of you.

I also have tremendous sorrow for the world.  I believe that the
last of the innocence for our children has been stolen by this
violent act. Where do we start?  There is no one place to start,
there are many and all of them infringe on somebody's rights.

I am Canadian and I believe that no one should have the right to
have guns. I know that it was the people doing the act not the
guns but we have to start somewhere. We have to rid ourselves of
the violent videos & videos. I believe our children have become
desensitized  to the horrors of the world.

How do we make our world less violent?  We are sending people
over
to Bosnia to fight because of the "ethic cleansing" that is going
on and yet, we had it right in Littleton, Co.
We have to learn to join hands and make this a better world for
everyone.  Lets learn to accept each other and then our children
will be able to accept each other too!
We have such a monumental task to try and prevent this from
happening again.
Who is going to be the leader to show us the way?

dont have children. children are a full time job, they come first
over everything and i mean everything. and if you have to
sacrifice your own time how ever badly you need it thats to bad,
