FYI: It's hard to let go!
Right now I don't know if I'm dealing with midlife crisis or
what...grin...
My daughter has 1 year left in high school and takes her ACT
this weekend. Hard to believe, she is old enough to be carrying
a baby around in diapers soon, (no she is not with child, or
she better not be anyway...grin...) when it was such a short
time ago we were carrying her around in diapers.
You know it's just hard to let go and see her off to college
soon!
As many of you know I'm preparing to go full time marketing and
writing on the internet with our new company, BUT at the same
time, it's hard to let go.
It's hard to let go of the security of a steady and full time
salary each week (quite decent I might add).
It's hard to let go of the benefits, insurance and paid holidays
that come with it.
It's hard to let go of being able to reinvest everything into a
growing business and know the money is not needed for bills.
It's hard to let go of the thoughts:
"What if sales quit coming in?".
"What if the company doesn't continue to grow?"
"What if my competitors overtake me?"
You know, it's just hard to let go!
However, I must add, it's NOT hard to let go of burning the
candle at both ends to the tune of 18 hours most days with at
least one sleepless night a week thrown in...grin... and of
course the time I'm losing from my family right now.
I would love to hear any experiences ya'll have had with your
business, be it internet or a home/small business. Did you deal
with the above issues, and how did you deal with them.
How many of you have home or internet businesses, what type,
and is it full time or part time. Do you have any regrets about
the decision to go full time if you did so?
I would like to hear any and all comments ya'll might have and
would like to share. You read so many times
"90% of internet businesses are not making money"
do you believe this?

** I just received this post while finishing the issue tonight.
The source is very reliable. I have not checked into it but
because I know the source of the letter, then I'm taking
it as very valid ** Gary

VIRUS ALERT
I'm sending this message out to the SWYNK.COM Announcement list
in hopes that between this list and other sources of info you
may subscribe to,you'll get word about a new virus. I have
received this already (the virus) and can speak for it's
validity.
This is not a hoax, not an "Urban Legend". Please take it
seriously, we've already had it strike columnists on the site
and clients in the field.
This from Darwin Sanoy's newsletter:
This extremely nasty virus overwrites your office files (.doc,
.ppt, .xls) and c-source code (.c, .h) and files of other
extension types. I was just hit with it this morning.
The virus was discoverd on June 6th, 1999.
The virus also worms by replicating itself to a list of people
whom you have recently received a message from - the messages
it sends out look like responses to a message they have sent
to you.
Do not open any extension called "ZIPPED_FILES.EXE"
McAfee (latest download) does not identify this virus yet,
Norton Anti-virus does catch it.

Tips:
Have you made the move to Win98 yet?
If so, did you know there is a resource kit that came
with it? To learn a lot more about Win98 do the following:
Insert your Windows 98 installation CD in your CD-ROM
and in the blue window that pops up,
click Browse This CD.
(If your CD-ROM drive doesn't support auto-play or you have
it disabled, open My Computer and double-click your CD-ROM
drive to display the blue screen.)
Find your way to the tools\reskit\help folder
Double-click rk98book.chm.
It will look as though you're inside the standard Windows
98 Help file, but you are not, explore the file and resources
available till your heart is content.
