FYI:
I wonder how much attention we pay to detail because
we rush so much through life?

Well this week it was brought to my attention by a new
subscriber about our PROMOTE! welcome screen. At the end it
said, note I said "said" and not says:

It now says "does NOT sell or give away"

This brings me to my point. This welcome screen has been the
same for at least 3 months, and all during that time this is
the first subscriber to notice it, or at least bring it to my
attention. I was completely unaware of this, yet people just
kept subscribing. Certainly I'm guilty of rushing too much,
trying to answer all the email I can, filling orders with
our new business that is growing daily, and still squeezing
in a full time job....for now...grin...

Did anyone else notice it? Or did you do like I do many times,
skim the body of the message and then move on to the next email.

Amazingly, in the past 3 months there has been one subber that
subbed and then immediately unsubbed. Why I know is because I
watch such things as that, and found it funny someone would sub
and immediately unsub. Now I know why.... Maybe I should watch
the welcome screen as close too!

I wonder how many times we truly miss a meaning within a message
that we should pick up on, all due to haste and the rush our
current society seems to thrive and possibly some day collapse
on.

I wonder how many sales we miss as marketers because we don't
take time to truly see what the prospect is telling us?

I wonder how many of us might be inconvenienced with the Y2K bug
when the year 2000 gets here, because a hastey programmer rushed
through and put a "+" instead of a "-" sign?

I wonder how many times parents have missed the true meaning of
something their children may have been trying to tell them, but
because they were running late for a meeting or work, they found
out the true meaning after the child or teenager run away or
even took their own life or overdosed on drugs?

I wonder how many times we rushed through life, only to find
aging parents whom we have somewhat ignored due to our busy
schedules?

I wonder how many of us look back and say I miss you and wish I
had spent more time with you before you were gone?

Happy Birthday Mom. I miss you. She would have been 70 today.

I wonder how......ooppps gotta run, late for work.....

TIPS:

Do regular backups to save your data. I know you hear this and
hear this, but until you go through a true crisis of losing
important data that is not backed up, only then will you truly
understand the importance of good backups! It is even more
important if you have an online business that supports you.
After all that is your living, if you don't have good backups
start taking measures today to prevent future distaster. Also
be sure to backup your website. Don't depend upon your hosting
site to always have a current backup.
