FYI:
Well I guess a couple of people didn't like last week's FYI, oh
well you can't please everyone. I won't post the couple of
negative comments for the sake of privacy, but basically one
didn't like the off topic post. Of course with the FYI column
as many of you old timers there know, there is no off topic in
this column. PROMOTE! is not just a marketing business
newsletter but rather a.... well what can I say it is just
PROMOTE!. Certainly there will be marketing related news in this
column but as many of you know it could also talk about
grandma's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well. Not likely
of course, but then who knows....grin...
Certainly I hope I make no one mad with my columns, but hey
everyone is entitled to an opinion. As you know I strive to be
tactful with my comments, but also straightforward and honest
in my feelings.
The other comment was, I'm spreading Western Christian
propaganda.
If last week's column was considered that, then I'm sorry that
you feel that way, but I do profess to be a christian, although
the post last week only mentioned the bible twice out of a whole
list of items. Anyway PROMOTE! is not published to that means,
but I also WILL not deny my faith and belief in GOD. I will not
apologize for that, since it was mentioned. Last weeks inclusion
I thought was more of a statement of a don't care mentality, and
how society through a lax attitude can cause its own detriment.
But hey, what do I know, I'm a country boy from Tennessee, but
no I'm not barefooted....grin... Anyway, enough on that, on to
other stuff, a big thanks to all of you with your many positive
comments too!

site that is growing by leaps and bounds:

Listen to your Customers!
We keep getting requests at our site for more information
to be put on our training tapes. People crave good, helpful
information.
So, what did I decide to do? Evidently they like our
product but want more of it. We doubled the information
and went to a 2 tape/CD set instead of one.
Big deal, huh!
Well actually yes. Because I listened to the input from
our customers; we now get almost double per sale! Sales
are increasing and the new price has not made any difference
in our conversion percentage or number of units sold.
They get more information and don't mind paying more,
we give more good solid information and double our sales
with very little increase in cost, except for our
materials. Our advertising cost remains unchanged.
Think about it, how can you increase your profit without
any major changes? Listen carefully to what your clients
or customers are saying, look beyond the surface, there
could be big profits laying there just waiting to be
cultivated!
Next Issue: Even though I reccomended outsourcing when
possible in a previous issue, I now have more comments as
to the pros and cons of both. We are now moving some things
back in house, which I will talk about in next month's
issue and why we are doing so.
